Product Catalog - Prayer Wheels
Prayer wheels are devices used by religious followers of the Buddha for spreading spiritual blessings and good will. Rolls of thin paper, imprinted with a mantra (a sacred text or invocation), are placed in a protective container usually made of brass or bronze, though more precious metals may be used, sometimes enhanced with mother of pearl, coral, or turquoise. Turning a prayer wheel symbolizes "turning the doctrine," referring to the first teachings of the Buddha, when he set the Wheel of the Law in motion, and accumulates virtues for the well being of mankind.

The Prayer Wheel plays a very important role in Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Brought to our world by one of the most renowned historical Buddhist teachers, Nagarjuna, the prayer wheel has been used for over a thousand years by the great Yogis of Tibet, including Marapa and Milarepa, as well as Tibetan people from all various walks of life. The practice of turning the Prayer Wheel, or even wearing or having in one’s home, is said to be of immeasurable benefit for oneself and others. Buddhist teachers and the ancient texts expound the profound benefits of the Prayer Wheel for its ability to quickly harmonize the environment, increase compassion, encourage a peaceful state of mind, and assist practitioners on their journeys to enlightenment.

Our Prayer Wheels have been made and filled according to the detailed instructions in the Tibetan Buddhist Commentaries. Our Prayer Wheels are made with the proper earth and sky wheels. Prayer Wheels we offer are of high/medium and moderate quality.

We also have wholesale option if you want Prayer Wheels in large quantity. Please mail us at info@buddhistcrafts.com for enquiries for wholesale buyers.

Description:
Turn your office or home into a mini Buddhist temple with the Table Prayer Wheel! It is quite convenient to spin day or night when you want to send millions of “Om Mani Padme Hum” prayers off into existence.

Tibetan prayer wheels (called Mani wheels by the Tibetans) are devices for spreading spiritual blessings and well being. Rolls of thin paper, imprinted with many, many copies of the mantra (prayer) Om Mani PadmeHum, printed in an ancient in Tibetan script, are wound around an axle in a protective container, and spun around and around.

Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying this mantra, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Each turn of the cylinder generates as much merit as the reading of the sutra or the formula enclosed therein

This beautiful table prayer wheel is filled with over 40 Million.
