Description
Amitabha Buddha, also known as the Buddha of Infinite Light, is a significant figure in the Lotus family, embodied by his ruby red light symbolizing love and compassion. His light soothes and calms the emotions of those who gaze upon him, showcasing his gentleness and openness.
This Amitabha Buddha is an exquisite addition to any home, meditation area, or altar space. Amitabha Buddha is particularly popular with Buddhist practitioners in Eastern regions like China and Japan. He established a devoid place in the farthest west, and those who pray to him are said to be reborn to his territory and eventually become a Bodhisattva. Taking the Amitabha vows helps individuals become more aware of their true selves and desires, leading to increased understanding, wisdom, compassion, and joy.

The Amitabha Buddha Ritual is a significant practice in Mahayana Buddhism, especially within the Pure Land tradition. It centers on Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light, who governs the Western Pure Land (Sukhavati), a blissful realm where enlightenment can be attained. The ritual aims for rebirth in this Pure Land, purifying negative karma, liberating the mind from attachments, and cultivating devotion to Amitabha.
