Description
Green Tara arose from Avalokiteshvara’s tear-stained face owing to world misery. The tranquil and empathetic large White Tara and the lively and daring Green Tara came from this tear. Her lively, happy demeanor suggests mischief. Her left arm stretched out and the other sitting on a lotus stand indicate wisdom and creativity, indicating her willingness to help. Her left palm holds a blue lotus, symbolizing virtue and strength, and her right hand blesses.
The Green Tara mantra is “OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA.
