Description

In the Nyingma traditions, Rahula is depicted as having the lower body of a coiled serpent spirit known as a Naga, and the top body with four arms and nine heads, ornamented with a thousand eyes.
A prominent characteristic of the Rahula Thangka is the imposing wrathful visage situated in the center of the abdomen. This visage symbolizes the countenance of Rahula, including his head and face, and is encircled by the nine superimposed heads of the celestial bodies that Rahula has either overshadowed or engulfed. These heads represent Rahula’s voracious hunger and his capacity to devour and assimilate all that comes his way.

On top of the pile of skulls rests the head of a black raven, which serves as a potent emblem of metamorphosis and renewal in Tibetan Buddhism. The raven head symbolizes Rahula’s complete triumph over the nine planetary forces, demonstrating his capacity to surpass the constraints of the physical realm and achieve enlightenment.

Perfect gifts to you and your loved one who regularly meditates.
