Description

In this Thanka Shakyamuni Buddha is portrayed in a golden-yellow hue, symbolizing the highest level of wisdom and enlightenment. His serene expression and calm posture reflect his spiritual awareness and stability. In his left hand, he holds a blue alms dish containing amrita, which represents purity, wisdom, and freedom from suffering.

The Buddha’s robes are adorned in gold, ochre, and bronze with intricate patterns and delicate gold highlights. The composition is further enhanced by a detailed circular mandala halo filled with diamonds, flowers, dragons, celestial beings, and auspicious symbols, all representing the enlightened universe arising from his awakened mind.

Surrounding the Buddha are celestial beings, gods, and mythical creatures such as nagas, garudas, and snow lions. He is seated on a magnificent golden throne supported by lions and embellished with lotus petals and jewels, symbolizing divine stability and strength. At the base of the statue, two bodhisattvas or attendants stand on vibrant lotus pedestals, each holding a staff, signifying their devotion and service to the Dharma. This thanka deep black background enhances the gold and vivid colors, representing the vastness of emptiness and the ultimate truth from which all arises and subsides. The clouds, heavenly musicians, and mountain peaks remind us of the divine state of enlightenment, where Shakyamuni radiates eternal wisdom and love.

This hand-painted thanka serves as an excellent example of exceptional sacred Tibetan art. It was created using acrylic paints and features fine gold detailing. Every line and color carries meaning, collectively forming a meditative image of enlightenment.

Thanka Consecration:

If you wish to consecrate Thanka then please let us know. The ritual can be used to consecrate any representation of the body, speech, and mind. Once you order the Thanka and request for consecration then we will complete the consecration within two days time. Rinpoche or qualified lama from Tibetan Monastery will help to perform this service. Rinpoche will bless the Thanka after consecration if he is available.

We request a small donation of $ 25-40 for Monastery for his service.
